Social Engineering and Industrial Espionage Singapore

CW Fong & Associates is pleased to announce the successful completion of a series of workshops for a MNC in Singapore on the topic of social media's role in industrial espionage.
In today's business world, intellectual property is increasingly becoming the only differentiator between many products.  Protection of these "secrets" is therefore not only important, but essential to the profitability and long-term viability of companies.
Social engineering, in the context of security, is the art of manipulating people into performing actions or divulging confidential information. While it is similar to a confidence trick or simple fraud, it is typically trickery or deception for the purpose of information gathering, fraud, or computer system access.

As social media is a major enabler of social engineering, CWFA was engaged to train the key appointment holders of this MNC on how to identify and avoid social engineering attacks.
